Web Design Process
Step 1 - Create the Design - Working Together to Create the "Mockup"
What we do: we design a "mockup" of what your site will look like. We send you a jpeg file in which you will see the design and potential links. We do all of this with graphic design software, and no Internet components.
What you do: find website designs that you like on the Internet, and let us know which parts you like and dislike about them. We will design your site from there. Also, this is where you decide how many pages you want on your site, what those pages will be. We don't need the content for those pages yet though, don't worry!
Step 2 - Review, Make Changes, and Approve
What we do: you tell us what you want changed, we make those changes and send you a reviewed mockup. We do this until you are satisfied and give us the go ahead to start coding.
What you do: tell us what you like/don't like from the mockup. Right now we are focusing on the look - the colour scheme, and image placement - and less on the wording. If you've already given us written content, we may stick it in, but we often just stick in gibberish so that you focus on the right things. Give us the green light when you're happy, and we'll move on to the next step!
