Legal Web Considerations
Who owns the Copyright to the website?
You own all of the copyrights to your own website. However, you do not own the copyright to some of the material on the website such as stock photography. You may not take a stock photograph from your website and use it in something else, such as a brochure.
Is it illegal to put links to another website on my website?
It is perfectly legal to put a link to another website on your website. There are no legal issues surrounding this as long as you are simply providing a link.
Is it illagal to copy ideas from another website?
Absolutely not! Websites are like a form of art. We are not allowed to copy the CODE of another website, but you are able to choose things you like from other websites, and we can create something very similar from scratch without infringing on any sort of copyright.
Can we use pictures from google?
NO! Google images are all images linked to websites, and taking content from any website without permission is illegal. For photography, we have some great stock photography websites that have top-notch professional photography, or, we photograph what you need for you with our own cameras.
